The name of this village has been changed four times In just forty years, Roure up until 1937, then Roreto up until 1939, then Roreto Chisone up until 1975, when the citizens held a referendum, which brought back the original name. The village area Includes many small Inhabited centres and four main ones, Castel del Bosco, Roreto (Chargeoir), Balma (where the municipal building Is located), and Villaretto. Very charming the extremely narrow deep valley of Bourcet, covered with larches and firs.
