By the village of Salza, the Germanasca river flows through a rather narrow valley, which opens up fanwise by the upper part, that Is surrounded by mountain chains ranging from the Colletto delle Fontane one, down to Mount LaparÀ, through the Pignerol and the Peolioso ones. On the north side, the woods take about 200 hectares, and feature mainly beeches and silver firs, (very rare species In the western Alps), and larches In the highest area.
Not to forget: the eighteenth-century church dedicated to the Nativitá della Beata Vergine, (Blesses Virgin Nativity), located by the area Campo Forano, a large exhibition of murals recalling famous songs on the village houses and the summer rock concerts, which draw large audiences In the area.

Plunged Into a suggestive alpine landscape, In the heart of the Waldensian and Proven¡al valleys and not far from the mining stope, over three Km tunnels, recently abandoned, have been equipped to allow visitors in the area.
In the areas and Industrial buildings close to the tunnel entrance, It Is possible to visit a permanent museum. The visiting area Includes also a video lounge, refreshment area shopping point.
